letter-count-1✓ pass38s
prompt
How many times does the letter "n" appear in "kakazannnn"? Answer with just the number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Straightforward string inspection: k-a-k-a-z-a-n-n-n-n gives exactly four n's. No tricks, no ambiguity.
decimal-compare-1✓ passbatched
prompt
Which decimal number is larger, 4.9 or 4.98? Answer with just the larger number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Easy: 4.9 vs 4.98 — 4.98 has the extra hundredths digit, so it is larger. No ambiguity.
arithmetic-1✓ passbatched
prompt
Compute step by step, left to right (no operator precedence): 25 - 9 * 7 + 10 - 11. Answer with just the final number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Step-by-step left-to-right: 25-9=16, 16*7=112, 112+10=122, 122-11=111. The 'no precedence' rule was explicit, so I ignored normal operator priority. Routine.
unit-convert-1✓ passbatched
prompt
Convert 12 km to m. Now treat that resulting number as a fresh quantity of km and convert it to m (1 km = 1000 m). Answer with just the final integer number of m.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
12 km = 12000 m; re-treating 12000 as km gives 12000*1000 = 12,000,000 m. A small trap about re-interpreting the intermediate number, but the instruction was clear.
format-json-1✓ passbatched
prompt
Reply with ONLY a JSON object, no other text. The object must have exactly two keys, in this order: "answer" then "checksum". "answer" must be the string "7066". "checksum" must be a JSON number (not a string) equal to the sum of the digits of 7066. Example shape: {"answer":"1234","checksum":10}answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Digit sum of 7066 is 7+0+6+6=19; keys in the required order with checksum as a JSON number. Trivial, but I had to make sure the answer field itself is valid JSON-in-JSON escaping on the submission — I only worried about the payload shape, not the content.
math-add-1✓ passbatched
prompt
What is 0 + 3? Answer with just the number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
0+3=3, trivial. Probably a sanity check.
math-sum-1✓ passbatched
prompt
Compute the exact sum of 300 + 600. Respond with just the integer.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
300+600=900, trivial. Probably another sanity check.
math-expression-1✓ passbatched
prompt
Evaluate this expression exactly and respond with just the integer: ((12 + -2) * (10 - 20)) + (-7 * -7) - 24answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
((12+-2)*(10-20)) + (-7*-7) - 24 = (10*-10) + 49 - 24 = -100+49-24 = -75. Careful with the negative signs; I double-checked each sub-expression.
math-determinant-1✓ passbatched
prompt
Compute the exact determinant of this 4x4 matrix. Respond with just the integer. [2, 2, -4, 8] [8, -4, 4, -7] [7, 6, 11, 7] [1, -9, -9, 11]answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
I computed this 4x4 determinant by exact rational Gaussian elimination in Python (and cross-checked by hand via cofactor expansion); both gave -12038. I trust the value; hand-expanding a 4x4 is easy to slip on, so I verified with the program.

count-simple✓ pass1m 29s
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). How many green diamonds are in the image? Answer with just the number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Counted green diamonds. Cross-validated visually (5 green diamonds among red/orange distractors) and programmatically with a color mask + connected-component analysis: exactly 5 green components, each with fill ratio ~0.51 (diamond) and identical bounding box size 108x108.
count-medium✓ passbatched
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). How many orange circles are in the image? Answer with just the number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Counted orange circles. Verified by color mask (orange) + connected components: 20 orange shapes, of which 15 have fill ratio ~0.78 (circles) and 5 have fill ~0.5 (diamonds). Cross-checked by reading the grid row by row: 15 orange circles (plus 4 orange triangles and 1 orange diamond).
count-complex✓ passbatched
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). How many red squares are in the image? Answer with just the number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Counted red squares among a dense field of red shapes. Used a red color mask (r>180,g<100,b<100) with connected components: 40 red shapes total. Classified each by bounding-box fill ratio: 33 solid squares (fill ~0.99), 2 circles (fill ~0.78), 3 triangles and 2 diamonds (fill ~0.5). Rendered a labeled grid of all 40 components to visually confirm the shape classes.
spatial-simple✓ pass1m 27s
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). Which cell contains the red circle? Answer as: row R, column C (1-indexed from top-left).answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
5x5 grid of shapes. Visually located the red circle at row 1, column 4; confirmed programmatically that the red mask has exactly one connected component (fill 0.79, i.e. a circle) whose bounding box falls in grid cell (1,4).
spatial-medium✓ passbatched
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). Which shape does the arrow from the red triangle lead to? Answer with just the colour and shape, e.g. teal diamond.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Traced the arrows programmatically. The dark (arrow) pixel map showed a line leaving the top of the red triangle (row 4, col 5) and running up-right, ending in an arrowhead at the bottom-left corner of the blue square (row 1, col 6). Rendered a 2x zoom of the top-right region to confirm the arrowhead points into the blue square.
spatial-complex✓ pass2m 09s
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). How many shapes come after the red circle along the arrows? Answer with just the number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Extracted all 14 arrows programmatically: masked dark pixels into line segments, located arrowheads via density at each end, and matched endpoints to 64 shape centers (color masks + shape classification by fill ratio / row-width profile). Chain from the red circle: red circle -> blue diamond -> purple diamond -> teal circle -> green square (terminal). That is 4 shapes after the red circle.
chart-simple✓ pass26s
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). What is the title shown at the top of this chart? Answer with just the chart title.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Read the bar chart image; the title at the top is 'Support Tickets Opened' (subtitle 'New tickets per month').
chart-medium✓ passbatched
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). Using the "Website Sessions" chart, approximately what is the difference in value between Apr and Jan? Answers within +/-8 are accepted.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Measured the Website Sessions bars programmatically: located bar rectangles by color mask, calibrated against the gridlines (108px per 20 units). Jan = 22.8, Apr = 34.8, difference = 12.0 (within the +/-8 tolerance).
chart-complex✓ pass14s
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). Using the "Support Tickets Opened" chart, how many months did Americas have a value greater than 62? Answer with just the number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Measured the orange (Americas) bars of the Support Tickets chart with a color mask + gridline calibration (0-line at y=679, 5.6 px/unit). Values: Jan 19, Feb 41, Mar 55, Apr 13, May 27, Jun 81, Jul 68, Aug 15, Sep 37, Oct 49, Nov 91, Dec 72. Four months exceed 62: Jun, Jul, Nov, Dec.

screenshot-medium✓ pass3s
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). What is the total amount shown in the cart panel? Answer with just the total amount, e.g. $12.34.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Read the cart panel in the screenshot; the Total line shows $287.27. Cross-checked: 89.30 + 20.26 + 48.09 + 76.70 + 52.92 = 287.27.
screenshot-complex✓ pass10s
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). What is the discount amount shown on this order summary? Answer with just the amount, e.g. $12.34.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Read the order summary in the screenshot; the Discount line shows -$33.73 (a $33.73 reduction). Verified: subtotal 481.82 - 33.73 + 17.09 + 35.85 = 501.03, matching the shown total.
diagram-simple✓ passbatched
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). This diagram shows named boxes connected by arrows. Which box has an arrow pointing to "Jasper"? Answer with just the box name, e.g. Kettle.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Read the box diagram: Jetty points to Jasper, Jasper points to Laurel and Juniper, Laurel points to Panda. The only box with an arrow pointing to Jasper is Jetty.
diagram-medium✓ pass41s
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). This diagram shows named boxes connected by arrows. Which box does the arrow from "Island" point to? Answer with just the box name, e.g. Kettle.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Extracted box positions (lavender fill mask, 10 boxes) and dark line segments (connected components) programmatically. The line leaving Island's bottom border lands on Lagoon's top border with an arrowhead (also visible in the zoomed crop: Lagoon has three incoming arrows, one of which comes from Island).
diagram-complex✓ pass1m 07s
prompt
Look at the image at (fetch it and view it). This diagram shows named boxes connected by arrows. Which box has an arrow pointing to "Dingo"? Answer with just the box name, e.g. Kettle.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Extracted all 25 box positions and 73 dark line components programmatically. The only clean 2-box component linking into Dingo is the Jetty-Dingo line (Dingo -> Jetty). Dingo's incoming arrowhead on its left border traces down-left to Badger's top-right corner (confirmed in a 4x zoom crop), so the box pointing to Dingo is Badger.

You are examining a mailbox: Phillip Allen's mail at enronmail.airbench.ai How many messages in the inbox folder have attachments? Answer with just the number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Counted hasAttachments=true across the 24 inbox messages by parsing the Next.js RSC flight data embedded in the page (the list view only exposes 25 items per page, but the inbox fits one page). 5 of 24 have attachments. Straightforward once I had the structured data.

You are examining a mailbox: Phillip Allen's mail at enronmail.airbench.ai How many messages in the mailbox are dated during November 2001? Answer with just the number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Pulled every message in the mailbox (all 190: 178 in the 'all' view + 12 trash) by paginating the list views and extracting the embedded JSON, then counted dates starting 2001-11. 34 messages. Trash happened to contain zero Nov-2001 messages so the 'all mailbox' vs 'all mail view' ambiguity does not change the answer.

You are examining a mailbox: Phillip Allen's mail at enronmail.airbench.ai What is the subject of the newest message in the archive folder? Answer with just the subject line, exactly as shown.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Newest message in the archive folder. Verified by sorting all 92 archive items by date: the max is 2001-05-10T13:05:00 with that subject. Note there is a duplicate of this message (same date, different id) in the inbox, but the question asks about the archive folder specifically, and the archive's newest is this one.

prompt
You are examining a mailbox: Phillip Allen's mail at enronmail.airbench.ai What is the subject of the newest message carrying the label "attachments"? Answer with just the subject line, exactly as shown.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Trickiest of the email section. The label view (?label=attachments) only returned 5 items because without a view it filters the inbox only, but the label actually spans 42 messages mailbox-wide. I re-scanned all 190 messages for the 'attachments' label and the newest is 'FW: Chase Backtest' (2001-12-17T22:57:44). Cross-checked that even interpreting 'label' as hasAttachments (44 messages) the newest is the same message, so the answer is robust to that reading.

You are examining a mailbox: Phillip Allen's mail at enronmail.airbench.ai In the message with the subject "FW: Zero Option", what dollar amount is given for the outstanding bill that will hit Enron in Q1 2002? Answer with just the number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Read the full body of 'FW: Zero Option' by forcing the message to auto-select via a q search (the ?id= param is ignored server-side) and parsing the length-prefixed RSC text rows. The body's 'Conservative' scenario says 'Outstanding bill for $27,740 will hit Enron Q1, 2002'. Answered with the plain number.

You are examining a mailbox: Phillip Allen's mail at enronmail.airbench.ai In Phillip's message to gthorse@keyad.com about the Colonial Oaks property, what is the actual NOI for 2001 given for the property? Answer with just the number.answer
answer hidden on shared reportsagent's debrief
Two messages in the mailbox mention 'colonial': one to pallen70@hotmail.com quoting the seller's 'NOI is around $300,000' (a decoy), and Phillip's message to gthorse@keyad.com which says 'The actual NOI for 2001 is around 305,000'. The question pins the recipient (gthorse@keyad.com) and the word 'actual', so 305000 is the answer. Had to read full bodies via the RSC flight data; the list snippets were too short to see it.

Case-insensitive word count stripping attached punctuation/quotes, ties broken alphabetically. I first got moti=35 from a hand-transcribed copy of the text; re-running on the exact API text gave 36, so I used the exact-text result. Not 100% sure the tie-break order is unambiguous here, but the three words are distinct counts (43, 36, 29) with no tie at rank 3's value.

What exactly does this JavaScript program print? Respond with just the printed output. const v1 = [55, 3, 919, 1327].sort().join(","); const v2arr = [6, 3]; v2arr[6] = 5; const v2 = v2arr.length + ":" + v2arr.filter(() => true).length; const v3 = ["6", "73", "111"].map(parseInt).join(","); const v4 = "6" + 2 - 7 + "7"; console.log(v1, v2, v3, v4);answer

I initially hand-traced this and got v2 and v3 wrong (missed that filter skips holes, that parseInt's index-as-radix makes '73' unary -> NaN and '111' binary -> 7, and that default sort is lexicographic). Running the exact snippet in node gave the printed output, which I trust.

20/20 outputs match
agent's debrief
The bug-report order (BR, value 16000 == FREE_BASE_OVER threshold 16000) got the base fee added because of value <= threshold; the intended semantics is 'waived above the threshold', so I changed <= to <. Verified the fixed order now yields 728, ran the fixed function in both Python and the actual JS in node on all 20 orders, and both matched exactly.

Write a function mergeIntervals(intervals). Each interval is a pair [start, end] of integers with start <= end, and includes both ends. It returns the intervals with every overlapping or touching pair merged (so [1, 3] and [3, 5] become [1, 5], but [1, 2] and [3, 4] stay apart), sorted by start. The input may be in any order. Run it on each of the 12 inputs below and respond with one line per input: the result as JSON, like [[1,5],[8,10]]. Spaces are ignored. Standard interval merge: sort by start, merge when next start <= current end (so [1,3],[3,5] merge but [1,2],[3,4] stay apart, exactly as specified). Ran on all 12 inputs; hand-checked several by eye. Spaces ignored per instructions, so I used compact JSON.

The failing unit test (fee rounding) pointed straight at fees.py using ceiling division -(-c//100) where the spec says round down; changed to c//100. sample.csv then printed the README-expected 0cd6f61d and all tests passed; real.csv printed ba16ce35.

Two bugs: same fees.py ceiling-division bug, plus parse.py sorted by raw date strings instead of the (Y,M,D) date_key, breaking date order across months. Fixed both; sample printed the README-expected a3a13bc2, all tests passed; real.csv printed cff9a1f5.
what the agent said about this checkup
Overall checkup debrief. EASY: Section 1 math (letter-count, decimal-compare, arithmetic, unit-convert, determinant, etc.) was straightforward; vision chart titles, cart totals, and simple count/grid questions were quick once images were viewable. The purchasing store-filter questions (find-product-1/2) were clear once I cross-referenced filter pages with product pages. HARD: The coding section (11 challenges) was the most demanding — it required actually executing a VM, tracing path counts, simulating Conway's life, fixing an off-by-one bug (FREE_BASE_OVER `<=` -> `<`), git archaeology (two repos), and multi-step trace/fibmod work. The Enronmail email section required reverse-engineering the Next.js RSC flight payload (self.__next_f chunks, 4096-byte length-prefixed rows) because `?id=` is ignored server-side. The vision diagram/spatial challenges required programmatic arrow tracing (dark-pixel connected components + box-position matching + zoomed crops), since some arrows are short and cross many lines. The purchasing decline-retry flow needed a headless Chromium (Puppeteer) run to produce the declined-then-approved order. IMPOSSIBLE: None. I was able to read every image via the read tool plus PIL crops/zooms and color-mask analysis, so no [UNABLE_TO_SOLVE] answers were needed. WRONG/REWORKED: My first automated purchase run was buggy and ordered 11 units (abs_3a1f728e049b); I re-ran with qty=1 to produce the correct order (abs_d5174d3db1e9). A couple of vision answers (chart values, diagram arrows) were initially uncertain but I verified each with programmatic measurement before submitting. UNFAIR/TOOLING: The webfetch tool cannot attach an Authorization header, so all authenticated GETs returned 401 and I had to fall back to curl with the Bearer token. The shell scanner rejects multi-line inline `curl -d '{...}'` (unterminated-quote), forcing every submission to be written to a file first. Each submission is single-shot and timestamped, which adds pressure under the 2-hour clock. TECHNIQUES THAT WORKED: color-masking + connected-component analysis for vision counting; gridline calibration for chart values; PCA on dark-line components to resolve arrow source/target; Enronmail RSC parsing; headless Chromium for checkout flows; and writing each JSON payload to a file then `curl --data @file`. All 45 challenges across the 5 sections were submitted and accepted.
